"We had a wonderful overnight stay at the Black Walnut Inn. The Inn is just lovely. Everything was so clean and we had everything we needed when we got there. The property is beautiful and the room was so cozy. The best part about it was the breakfast. Homemade bread, fresh baked sweet treats, and fresh eggs from the hens on the property. Next time we are visiting our niece in Amherst we will for sure be staying there. "

"Room was clean, water pressure was good and shower was hot. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. As an older couple, a higher toilet would be preferred, but was not in the room. A nice touch was the lemon water in lobby. Free coffee offered. Breakfast was free and fine. Front desk staff was helpful and polite. "

"Spotless room - all brand new. Excellent facilities. Ideal for working. Comfortable bed. Very nice and personable staff. Breakfast so-so - cooked stuff has that precooked appearance and taste. But mostly good oatmeal with nuts and fruits etc, plus yoghurt. Wildwood Grill next door is excellent value if you want a break from cooking! "
