"The entrance of the hotel and bar area are excellent however the rooms could do with a refresh. Broken tiles in bathroom and stains on carpets and lamp shades. These didn’t detract from our stay at all. The staff are fantastic and extremely helpful. The food in the restaurant is excellent. We had pizza, steak sandwich and kids curry and couldn’t finish it!. Portions are great and so tasty. Kids curry would feed an adult no problem! The rooms are quiet enough however the fan in the bathroom will wake everyone up in the middle of the night if you get up to go to the loo. The noise from the road outside was also quite bad at times but not really the hotels fault. pool area is excellent and welcoming to kids. The rules around wearing caps in the pool are very loose although the staff at the pool make it sound like it’s mandatory and made us purchase a cap, once into the pool these rules only seemed to apply to some. Plenty people in pool with no cap on and staff not saying a word. That was quite annoying and seemed like a way to just make an extra €4. The pool is great but again could do with some maintenance. This hotel and pool area love a laminated sign. They are everywhere with instructions on shoe bootys , caps and diving etc but not enforced. It’s as if a manager has bought an A4 laminator and is getting theirs moneys worth from it. It does make the pool area a little cheaper looking. Having said all that I wouldn’t hesitate staying here again."
