Our apartment didn’t have proper curtains so the room became light as soon as the sum came up - this was not ideal. "This is a lovely family run accommodation. They work so hard and tirelessly to ensure your stay is restful and without issues. We got on very well with the owners and they helped us with many things and gave us lots of advice on things to do locally. It is refreshing to see owners who care about their guests and they are always on hand to help in any way they can. An example of this was on our last day, one of the owners followed us to the bus station because they thought we had left something behind. Most people would ignore this but they went out of their way to see if it belonged to us. It did not actually belong to us but we appreciated their kindness and honesty. We will definitely visit Ulcinj again and would be delighted to stay at the Aqua Lounge. Swimming was clean and breakfast was homemade and felt like a lot of love went into it every morning."

"We had a really enjoyable stay at the hotel but a few things I would not to fellow travellers; There are only 12 sun beds round the outdoor pool and towels are placed on these to reserve from early morning Car parking is chargeable Air conditioning is poor and does not cool the rooms down very well Beach/Pool towels are only allowed once per day and this is strictly followed, you will be quizzed as to if you have already have towels if you request them later in the day There is a strict policy of no outdoor food and drink in the hotel - I think it is unreasonable to not be allowed to bring soft drinks back to the room in hot weather The restaurant serving evening meals it’s next to the outdoor pool, you could be trying to eat your evening meal whilst children are playing, jumping and screaming in the pool - this was as late as 8/9pm None of the above will ruin your stay - but some stop the experience from being relaxing and easy. The experience could be improved without such strict rules."

"After reading all the reviews before our trip, I was honestly prepared for the worst, but our experience turned out to be completely different. Overall, everything was absolutely fine and we really enjoyed our stay. The only downside was that the check-in process took a little longer than expected. Other than that, the staff were amazing, from the team at reception to everyone working in the restaurant. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful I think this hotel is particularly great for families with children. The seawater pool is a big plus, the beaches are very close by, and the location overall is excellent. Room was also perfectly fine and comfortable for our family Overall, we had a really enjoyable stay, and most importantly, our child absolutely loved it. We would happily stay here again"

"Beautiful resort, visited early August during high season and it never felt crowded. Resort had plenty of sun chairs and we never had an issue to find four for our family no matter the time of day. Breakfast buffet was excellent and had lots of choices. Really enjoyed the restaurant by the adult pool (forgot the name), spectacular spot to watch the sunset. Staff were very friendly and prepared lunch bags for us the day of departure which was so sweet! Was very pleased to see that the “zoo” mentioned in previous reviews was empty. We walked around the whole resort and some areas could use attention, like the beach volleyball court. Tried the outdoor gym one morning, although the most amazing view, was way too hot for me to workout since outdoors and no fans. Overall an amazing stay!"
