"Barb was a lovely and accommodating host. We were late arriving, which she managed with patience and courtesy. The breakfast she served was delicious and certainly upscale to what we expected. Due to an unforseen change to the number of travelers in our party and change in dates we had to switch our room from in the main house to an exterior room. We were slightly disappointed in the room (dated) & parking was difficult but otherwise 4/5."

"The Southwest Mermaid Inn is an affordable, comfortable, clean motel, and quite sufficient for the many people who come to Yarmouth to take the ferry. It is quiet and feels safe for a solo traveller. The free breakfast is made to order, which is fantastic. It could use a little spruce-up in its basic decor-- it feels like a hotel that is used so much that there isn't time to renovate the rooms. I appreciated the refrigerator AND freezer (that allowed me to use blue ice instead of messy real ice in my cooler). This hotel is a sensible, decent deal for its price; nothing extravagant, but a decent place to pass a night."

"We booked through Expedia and thought it was a cottage but it was hotel room, but it had a coffee maker & microwave but expected a toaster oven (thats our fault). Used sauna, very nice. We were there for the beach not the room. Owners were beyond friendly. Only thing was no dining nearby."
