"Lesson learned - Don't book a stay with a property that doesn't have a single person on-site or on-call to help. By the time we arrived our check-in email from the Guesthouse still had not arrived in our email inbox. This email is the only way in to your room, as it holds the lockbox code which holds your key. Central Continental Hotel

8/10 Good

"No AC. We did have a balcony. Had to leave all the windows open. The room was stuffy and the bed uncomfortable. I do like visiting Europe to see the sights. But it feels like I am living in 1950,s America as a kid. No AC, small room, no ice, noise outside, windows open. Wake up Europe its the 21st century."

"Conveniently located directly across from the train station. Beautiful traditional hotel with a wonderful staff. Some of the amenities were closed during our stay for refurbishing but otherwise we loved it. The beds were good, breakfast was ok but not quite as good as we've had elsewhere in the region. Best of all are the mountain views and the Lauterbrunnen valley below! The views are stunning. We could have sat our on our balcony all day. It's also right in town (Wengen) and close to everything. We would stay there again if we ever return."

"I am so glad we found Hotel Falken for our stay in Wengen. I adored the historic charm that made this place so special from the quaint and comfortable rooms (with an actual skeleton key), to the old music that greets you in the parlor to the idyllic ivy-filled, tree covered outdoor garden to Charlie the beautiful Samoyed hotel pet, this hotel was a brilliant home away from home. I'm so glad I discovered it, and now there's no other place I will stay when I'm in in Wengen."
