10/10 Excellent

"Location was excellent, very close to the Cathedral which is beautiful and just a short walk to the riverside for a beautiful walk along the river. All the staff were extremely friendly. The Manager was so helpful and we couldn't fault the other staff who were welcoming and friendly. We had an evening meal which was delicious and the breakfast was lovely with so much choice. The room was basic but had everything you needed. It was clean and comfortable."

"A nice, modern resort hotel. Linked to the fact that it’s in the country, flies were a problem. Most of the staff were really professional and courteous, but eating in the restaurant was a bit of a challenge - I had other diners’ food delivered to me because the waiting staff couldn’t remember the table numbers. Noisy at night, with corridors that amplify the noise. But a comfortable and clean room."

"The Crown Hotel is in a quiet village. The name Hotel possibly leads you to believe something different to what this place is. That's not a moan but I would think more like B & B above a lovely old pub. The room was up 2 flights of stairs. Don't expect air conditioning but it did have a fan, blinds, curtains and windows so even though it was 28/29 degrees the room was still cool. The shower was excellent. I would take your own shower gel because although you are provided with a small sachet of body wash it may not be enough for some. All in all the room had all of the basics that you need. The food here is wonderful and plentiful. Breakfast was a stand out for us. The lady serving was friendly and we liked the fact that we had our toast while we were waiting for our cooked breakfast. The food was locally sourced and the sausage in particular was great. Well done to the Chef's 👨‍🍳👩‍🍳 We had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend if you are in the area. 😊"
