"Staff gave 7 star service. From the lady at the restaurant to reception. They made my experience so wonderful and even went with me to the shops to find a traditional dress. They also arranged a personal assistant inside the airport to get me quickly through the budy crowds. 7 star service all the way at the Western maple leaf airport"
"Here’s a polished, professional, and firm review you can submit to Expedia:
⸻
I would like to report a very concerning and disappointing experience during my recent hotel stay booked through Expedia.
At the time of checkout, the receptionist, Babul, attempted to charge me additional money, claiming that the hotel’s rate was higher than what I had already paid through Expedia. However, my booking was fully prepaid via credit card, and I had a valid invoice confirming this. Despite showing the documentation, he continued to argue and insisted on collecting the difference.
This situation escalated unnecessarily and delayed me for approximately 45 minutes to an hour. At one point, I was even prevented from leaving the hotel, which was extremely stressful as I had a flight to catch. Only after I firmly stated that I would contact the police did the situation change, and eventually, a supervisor intervened and allowed me to leave without any additional payment.
I have stayed at this same hotel before without any issues, which made this experience even more surprising and disappointing. As a legal professional, I was able to stand my ground, but I am deeply concerned that other guests may be pressured or misled into paying unjustified charges.
I respectfully request that Expedia look into this matter seriously and take appropriate action to ensure that customers are protected from such practices in the future.
Overall, this experience was both frustrating and unprofessional, "
"The cleaning staff stole my money from the room and hotel management did not do anything about it.
The room was noisy and full of cigarette smell even the room was non smoking. Bathroom was dated and shower did not work either. Rubbish hotel with rubbish staff. Will avoid this like plague in future. "
"I am extremely frustrated with my recent stay at Dhaka Regency Hotel & Resort. Despite paying for my entire stay in full well in advance I was still forced to provide a cash deposit upon arrival. The front desk staff explicitly assured me that this deposit would be refunded immediately during my checkout process.
However when I went to check out the story completely changed. They failed to return my money as promised and offered nothing but excuses. It has been incredibly difficult to get a straight answer from management and I am still waiting for the funds that are rightfully mine.
It is unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed caliber to hold onto a guests money after a verbal and written agreement to return it. This lack of integrity and poor financial transparency has completely ruined my perception of the establishment. I would strongly advise future travelers to be wary of their deposit policies and look for a hotel that actually honors its commitments to its guests."
