Detroit hotel rooms a the Independent

"Friendly staff!"

"Was in town to catch a couple Redwings games and this was located perfect. Within walking distance, but they offer a shuttle as well. Greektown itself seems like a nice little area, but it was under heavy construction, so hard to tell. Probably will be a fun place to hangout in a couple years when all the construction is done. Hotel was clean, a bit dated, and staff were super friendly. Would definitely stay here again if we are in town."

"The theming, staff, bars, coffee/breakfast area were all top notch. The room was unique, there is a spiral staircase with a small room on the second floor of the room where the bed is. The theming really is impressive, every detail is unique from the couches, to the lamps and lights/ambiance. The building is older and the elevator is kinda slow but it somewhat adds to the experience. I would stay here again."

"Staff was really helpful/nice. Holding bags before check in allowed me to explore the city. Room was clean but not the best at blocking noise. Doors generally slam shut and echo down the hallways. Windows don’t block out loud cars. Still a solid choice to stay in downtown and close to attractions."
