"My room was a Standard Room and in the “Courtyard” which is a walk along the side of the main property (no umbrella supplied if raining) and not so suitable for a single lady traveller if arriving back late at night.
Bed was very comfortable and the first night I slept well, the second evening was noisy as it appears the room was next to a bottle bank. I was then woken at 06.15 by a “delivery” being made.
I did mention the above to Reception but was sadly told “you booked a standard room” so I guess this means if you don’t book the higher level rooms, you’re not entitled to a good nights sleep. This disappoints me greatly. I also attempted to move to another room on arrival due to the out lying room but was told there were none available, I’m guessing due to the price point I entered with.
The food was excellent, and the waiting staff good. The cleanliness in my room and bathroom was good too."
