"A Hotel Experience Like No Other I have travelled to many places and stayed at wonderful, luxurious hotels, but I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed a hotel as much as this one. It is truly amazing in so many ways. The Soul of the Hotel – The Staff The best thing about the hotel is the staff—they are the soul of the place and make your stay unforgettable. Everyone is genuinely kind and interested in you, from the gardeners tending to the grounds to the chef, reception staff, and waiters. Their warmth and care are what truly set this resort apart. Specifically, I would like to thank the following staff for taking such wonderful care of us during our stay. All the staff members were incredibly kind, but we interacted the most with Osrida, Christina, Sarah, Odria, Ellen, Lydia, and Anna. They were kind, efficient, and made us feel like part of a family. Their attentiveness and friendliness added so much joy to our time at the resort. Breathtaking Setting and Beautiful Grounds The hotel is situated in a beautiful lagoon in Nungwi, with absolutely breathtaking beaches. A special touch: there’s a bench placed by the hotel for guests to sit and enjoy the staggeringly beautiful sunsets over the beach and pool area. The grounds feel like an oasis unto themselves. I ventured outside and looked at other nearby hotels, but none had the same lush, manicured greenery. It felt like living in a botanical garden, surrounded by birdsong. Truly a paradise. "

" My partner and I spent 8 nights at Riu Jambo and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was clean, spacious, and overlooked the beach, which made for a beautiful setting. Housekeeping maintained it well, with daily cleaning that kept everything fresh and comfortable. The staff at Riu Jambo were outstanding — always full of energy, warm, and incredibly helpful. I unfortunately had an accident while in Zanzibar (unrelated to the hotel), and the way the staff supported me during my recovery was truly exceptional. They were accommodating, caring, and always ready to assist. A special thank you to William, who we often saw in the buffet dining room. He was a pleasure to speak with and always made sure my partner and I were comfortable and well looked after. The rest of the breakfast and dinner team were equally amazing — attentive, friendly, and welcoming throughout our stay. While the food could be a little repetitive at times, there was a wide variety and something to suit everyone’s tastes. If I return to Zanzibar, I would absolutely stay here again. "We had a wonderful 3-night stay at LUX at the end of May — the place is absolutely beautiful! From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, the staff made our experience truly special. A big shoutout to Kennedy at the front desk — his hospitality was out of this world! So pleasant and polite, he took the time to show us around and made us feel at home right away. Huge thanks to Abdul at the cashier desk for the amazing upgrade to the Executive Beach Front Room #9 — what a treat! And Ali at Café LUX, thank you for your help — such a well-mannered young man. "The entire hotel staff are absolutely wonderful - they are always friendly and welcoming. They are really what makes this place great. The buffet food was great and our room was wonderful. The rOom and hotel in general were immaculately clean. Even the beach along the nearby coast is crystal clear and clean. would say the water for showering isn't great but I'm not sure there's a whole lot that can be done about that. The hotel is also quite far from Stone Town/the airport, so be prepared to booka lot of taxis if you have things to do on the west side of the island."
