"Pleasant enough hotel but a bit shabby in the rooms. The bed was a bit small and if you say down too quickly it flew across the room and some of the furniture had sern better days. However all of the staff i had contact with were friendly and polite and the bar meal we ate was great quality and price"

"My room was amazing! It was very spacious and comfortable. The tea was really nicd and the bathroom was huge with lots of storage. I stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed every minute that I was in my room. I ate at the restaurant and the food was hot, fresh and delicious. It was very apparent that it was made to order. I would stay here again and I highly recommend it. It is also a nice driving distance from Edinburgh. "

"Brilliant idea letting out students rooms at the summer break, beautiful settings and loads of amenities locally. The “Scran”restaurant brilliant,tasty food and great staff and prices. There is a shop and a chemist on grounds. Scenery beautiful.rooms basic and comfortable.communal area for making lunch,tea etc My only criticism would be maybe too basic rooms,no hand towels or anywhere to put your shampoo etc in shower. Nice and peaceful accommodation I’ll be back time and again. The reception...

"Hi son stayed for 3 weeks, first week room not cleaned 2nd week maids went in and cleared all his stuff out even though he was booked in for another 2 weeks. Would not use again."

"Fantastic stay at this lovely hotel. All staff we encountered were super friendly and helpful. Room lovely and clean and bed was comfy. Pool and leisure facilities very good and staff here were also lovely and very helpful. We ate at the hotel restaurant at night and the meal was amazing. Would recommend eating here. Breakfast in the morning was excellent. Lots of choice and all very fresh. Cannot wait to come back and stay. "
