"So it turns out this property (Mahoora Tented Safari Camp) is exactly the same as the similarly named 'Big Game Camp'. "I stayed only one night but wished I stayed an extra one. The staff were so accommodating and extremely friendly. I really loved the afternoon walk around the village where I saw my first elephant of my Sri Lankan trip and evening walk around the gardens looking at the nocturnal animals. "Room was very clean, had a little bit of a strange smell when we first arrived and the bathroom smelled a little bit like drainage. We opened the window in the washroom and kept the door locked so it wasn't a problem. Staff is lovely and has a nice dog as well! We did the Safari through the hotel and it was a great experience! Thank you 🙏 "

"Very nice room, pool great, not walking distance to eateries. The family looking after the apartments were very helpful. We had a room and dedicated bathroom (locked for our use but in the wider apartment). There is a common kitchen, lounge and dining room, fortunately we had the place to ourselves but could be problematic if sharing with others (there were 2 or 3 other bedrooms)"
