"The resort itself is amazing. The property is very beautiful, manicured lawns and gardens and the restaurant, bar and rooms are well appointed and very clean. The food and drinks are on the expensive side but very good and the breakfast buffet was amazing. Staff at the restaurants and pool/bar were beyond friendly and amazing. Loved them! The gentleman at check-in though did not provide much of a warm welcome. We had just driven from Lima and had an encounter with corrupt cops on the way...

"Huacachina Desert House was a great place to stay. We had a very soft bed that was great to sleep on. The only thing we didn't like was the shower. It was very difficult to get clean because of how bad the shower head was. This was unfortunate after a day out in the hot sun and sand of the desert. We would have liked for there to have been air conditioning but knew that there wasn't when we booked the room so there was no surprise there. "

"The resort itself is amazing. The property is very beautiful, manicured lawns and gardens and the restaurant, bar and rooms are well appointed and very clean. The food and drinks are on the expensive side but very good and the breakfast buffet was amazing. Staff at the restaurants and pool/bar were beyond friendly and amazing. Loved them! The gentleman at check-in though did not provide much of a warm welcome. We had just driven from Lima and had an encounter with corrupt cops on the way there, so arrived to the resort a bit shaken up, and the person checking us in went straight into fees and costs without even asking asking us how we were doing, how were our travels etc.. not what you expect from a 5 star hotel. Otherwise everything was great."
