"We had an amazing stay at Sunscape Hotel in Ixtapa! The service throughout the resort was excellent, and the staff truly made our vacation special. A huge thank you to the bartenders Roberto and Christian for always being friendly, welcoming, and making great drinks with a positive attitude every day. Rene was also incredibly helpful and made sure we were taken care of during our stay. We also want to recognize Josue and Adilene, who were both outstanding servers. They were attentive, kind, hardworking, and always made us feel comfortable and appreciated. Their customer service went above and beyond and really made a difference in our experience. The resort atmosphere was relaxing, the staff was professional and caring, and we truly enjoyed our time here. We would definitely recommend Sunscape Hotel in Ixtapa to anyone looking for a fun and enjoyable vacation. We can’t wait to come back!"

"Our stay at Thompson Zihuatanejo on Playa La Ropa was exceptional from start to finish. The rooms were beautiful, comfortable, and perfectly suited to a relaxing beach escape. The pools are fantastic — peaceful, well maintained, and a wonderful place to spend the day soaking up the atmosphere. The breakfast and dinners at the resort restaurant were a highlight of our stay. We especially appreciated the focus on fresh local produce and authentic regional dishes, all prepared with great quality and care. What truly made the experience special was the staff. Every member of the team was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, creating the kind of hospitality that makes you want to return. And the sunsets… evening walks along Playa La Ropa directly in front of the resort were simply magical. Watching the sun disappear over the bay with the waves rolling in was unforgettable. A beautiful resort in one of Mexico’s most stunning beach locations — we would happily return."

2/10 Terrible

"This was our second time at this location. First time was great we went with a family member who had. A Clue Membership” which by the way if you have it they treat you amazing! We didn’t have the membership FYI. This time We had a horrible experience. First day we didn’t get our rooms until 6pm check in was at 3 ( side note I paid for 3 rooms I have a party of 7) we walk into room number one there was a maintenance guys fixing a leak. We have to go back down to reception they say”we are almost done” ok. We started our first day at 7:00pm wasted our time. Day 2 we had an amazing time but not at the hotel. We get back to the hotel at about 5 there were puddles of water everywhere in one of our rooms. My families clean clothes was all wet. Water made its way to the closet. We call down to reception they sent someone to “fix it” again we had to share a room while they “fix it.” I asked for a new room they said, no! But they did wash the wet clothes. Day 3 again some issues. I wasted time arguing until they finally gave us a new room. Everyday we had the same issue with the same room. It was always was getting fixed. I just wanted a new room From the beginning and to enjoy my vacation. Manager did send an apology letter as well as a bottle of wine with some fruit, but honestly they should have given us another room."

"I first booked through Expedia and got an excellent deal. I wanted to extend my stay, I did but was more expensive. I liked the location of the hotel and the room I got, so I paid the extra. The problem when making reservations, you do not know what room you will get. The rooms on ground level might have great access to beach and pool, but most rooms are not private al all. When in the room you would need to draw your curtains. The first-floor rooms are a gamble, you might get a patio but if you do not, there is no privacy at all if you have a room facing the hallway. The staff is wonderful and make you feel at home. Breakfast included many options; If I go back, I will get the package, it is great. The rooms are basic but more than enough, do not expect luxury, only clean and comfortable with easy access to the beach. EVERY member of the staff is GREAT!"
