"Hotel cancelled my room that was booked as an "extra room". I was sent to a nearby hotel that was about a 1 star rating or less. Don Carmelo was a 1.0 at best. No kitchen. Very old and run down even for Latin America."

"Clean, comfortable, but with the rooms surrounding the pool, it can be noisy and wet. The thing that turned me off was the bird cage kept outside the rooms. Not only is it unnecessary and cruel to keep creatures in cages for human amusement, these parrots squawk incessantly for hours on end. "

"Cute hotel. Very quaint, clean, good breakfast. Good value for the price. We stayed at the casita. Bed was a bit hard and they don’t have colchas just thin bed covers but overall it was ok. What I love the most was that it is very Nicaraguan. "

"Great property, beautiful room and view, excellent staff and breakfast. We were nervous about noise levels as it is across bars and a hostel is right behind, but had no issues at all. Just make sure the balcony doors are closed and AC is on :) "
