"Hotel looks very modern but has a friendly feel to it. Bedroom was clean and comfortable. The hotel was very busy and the staff worked hard at maintain the food and clearing tables. We did know that the evening meal had only one main dish. However I think more could be done to provide for someone who did or could not eat the food. Maybe more choice of salad. Coffee or tea always available is a nice touch. View over the river and walk around lovely"

"A stunning old building with a lot of character in a beautiful town. I stayed here for 2 weeks and enjoyed everyday. The breakfast is from 6am and has so much choice, everyone was so friendly and helpful to me, the dinner was delicious and well priced, even the gym is very well equipped! "The staff here was amazing check out was at 11 but the gentleman let me leave my bag so I could go to the castle. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful with questions. It’s a 5 min walk to train station also. The rooms are very cute and comfortable… "
