"Property needed a deep clean. I sneezed a lot and had black dust come out of my nose. Heating didn’t work sometimes and the room was quite cold. "The Hen House cottage was a great place to stay for our trip in the Durham area. The village of Brandon is a beautiful location for going for walks in the countryside and with a great pub/ restaurant called the Bay Horse Inn on 50m away it’s a perfect place to stay. The village is very close to the historic house, chapels and gardens of Ushaw and Brancepeth Castle, which are both excellent places to visit!! Would happily stay here again when visiting the area as it’s a perfect little...

"ldeal for visiting Beamish Museum only 4 mins by car from property ,Clean and very Spacious beautiful views from the back of property ,very handy for visiting many parts of Northumberland . It is a ground floor apartment but if you have any walking issues,my husband uses a walking stick ,there are 8 steps down to the apartment which we didn't no ,but it wouldn't stop us returning .Andy the host was excellent and also a very kind neighbour above us .Would recommend to friends...
