"Great hotel although room was a little small it was perfect for price. Staff were fantastic, breakfast was good!!"

"The bathroom was basic, black mould under shower door, curtains were grubby in living area which had holes in lining light could been seen through them. Ceiling paper was peeling off, main window couldn't be opened only with a block of wood. Carpets weren't clean, stained throughout. Wouldnt stay again. "The hotel is lovely and I would recommend staying there, breakfast had everything you need. However we were shocked to find that the swimming pool and golf had additional costs and when going down for food Sunday evening the only thing available was Sunday lunch. These things should be made clear. "

"Lovely barn. Everything you needed in it for a great stay. The hot tub wasn't working when we arrived and they sent someone that morning to fix it. Will be booking again as not only did we have a great time but so did our dog."

"Some areas of the room were either full of dust or dirty. Had old white and brown hairs whilst i have cherry red hair Furnitures on balcony could be more comfortable and not metal. Also it was really dirty. Mold on pipes glass panes and balcony stained with bird poo and dk what else.."

"The breakfast was lovely. Freshly cooked, and with a varied menu. The property was clean and well kept, but a little dated. First flight of stairs is accessed by a chairlift, rather than a lift. There are then stairs to negotiate on the first floor, to get to the room. "

"Staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. The room was beautiful, clean and well supplied with coffee tea etc. We used to stay at the Penventon regularly 20 years ago and the standard has not slipped one bit. The reason for our visit was to meet with a lost member of family and she lived local to the Penventon Hotel so it worked out perfectly for us."
