The Staff is superb, Sofia and the rest of the staff took excellent care of us during our stay. We will be returning in 6 months and really look forward to staying with Hotel Fontabella. "

"Very secluded for a nice reset and self-made yoga retreat. This was a beautiful spot to sit for hours, watching birds, the sunset, and the volcano in the mornings, and to simply enjoy life in nature. I enjoyed walking down the hill to the earth lodge for food and coffee, and the Italian restaurant was perfect! "

"The property is very well kept, the hotel and the area were very quite, the location is very convenient with supermarket and restaurants very accessible. The staff was very efficient and kind."

Paula, the manager, was especially helpful with everything and communicated promptly with me when I had any questions, even outside normal business hours. Thank you Paula! It is accessed via a private dock and is tricky to access after normal lancha run-times from San Marcos, so plan accordingly and buy your supplies beforehand. "Everyone was so nice and attend. Kudos to the staff that carry the luggage to the rooms. Daniel watched our luggage until the boat arrived. I chose the right place to celebrate my 30th wedding anniversary. The only hip up was that my sister and husband couldn’t stay with us because it has too many steps to reach the restaurant and rooms. Other than that it’s the ideal place for people in good health to enjoy the lake and the property. "
