"Everything was wonderful. The room was beautiful and extremely comfortable. The staff was great. Extremely attentive and friendly. It was our 56th wedding anniversary and they sent a nice chachuterie board to our room. Every evening the maid came by with a sweet treat for each room. The property is very nice and right on the bay. Very relaxing atmosphere . I would definitely consider returning to the Amaka Lodge

"Properties located in a rainforest. There is a really beautiful property. Restaurant is great the food is amazing. Stop is really really accommodating and nice. However it is expensive at about $1200-$1300 a night, when you include the food and stay.. The only problem is that it does not have air conditioning. With the hot and humid weather not having air conditioning creates a big problem. When guests are not getting good sleep, they are not able to enjoy their day and that was a problem...

"This isn’t just a beautiful eco lodge, it’s a life a life experience. You couldn’t chose a more picturesque location surrounded by nature. The building and facilities are clean, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the food is excellent. Their tours and services are great and very reasonably priced. Amazing place to visit !!!! "Beautiful rainforest property with good birding opportunity, birds song, cicadas, and frogs, but "touristy", so the natural vibe gets ruined. It seems they cater to tour groups, so not very private or queit. Have to pay for 3 meals a day but on their schedule that's too late for serious birding and not as healthy as I'd prefer. I travel solo and do not enjoy sitting by myself or wasting time I could be out finding birds sitting in a restaurant. I go ut birding before daybreak so, lunch as late...

"The local host Denier was more than accommodating, I would return because of his management skills, you can tell he likes to run a happy and friendly, secure hotel. Excellent service, great food. The place is clean, quiet, right by the Gulf with a dock and a pool. At the moment The restaurant was closed but we did have the included breakfast. The room was comfortable, A/C, TV, wifi available too(since phone reception is a bit tricky), refrigerator (there also more basic options on other rooms)....
