"We reserved a superior room, which was very large. The floorboards were uneven and mostly bare. The furniture was threadbare. The bed was only so so but we had nice linens. The bathroom was modern and very nice. Good amenities provided including a bottle of water and meringues as a welcome. We had a surprisingly reasonably priced dinner in the dinner. "Chateau de Hieville was very special place. The chateau itself is a beautiful building filled with nice pieces of art and furniture that fits with the chateau. The whole property is well kept and also the new pool area (opened in 2022) is quality work. The host Christophe was super friendly and helpful attending all our needs and being proactively available whenever needed. The only regret we have is that we should gave spent more than two nights."

"What an amazing place to stay. Set in a countryside setting near a beautiful village. We stayed in a detached cabin with a small patio outside. It was very clean and quiet. There was a selection of games for all ages to play which was a nice touch by the host and kept the children entertained. Great place to stay."
