i asked for a back room which was a quieter part of the hotel. early morning construction work begins 7am. FYI. Overall a very nice and pleasant place to stay. one of the nicest breakfast we had in the many days in peru. they store your bags if you have trips to machu picchu, which we did avail, and when we returned the following day to recheck into the hotel, we had our bags brough out of storage. fantastic. and lobby staff are all hands down helpful and pleasant. Our stay at Casa Esmeralda was excellent! The hotel is gorgeous, and is located in a very convenient spot, without being too submerged in the bustle and noise of the city. The rooms were always kept clean by the staff, and the complimentary breakfast every morning was always delicious! Giara, the receptionist, is the sweetest! She was very gracious and helpful with anything we needed throughout our stay.

Staff was warm and friendly. Wished we could have stayed longer. We had everything we needed. more pillows, blankets, hair dryer, towelss. Intentional murals were painted for a happy vibe. A welcome coca tea in a cozy reception area. Everything is clean and well-maintained. The location is nice and near the key sites you want to go. Very well worth coming back to.

We arrived in Cusco expecting our hotel shuttle service waiting for us at the airport. Since our flight was delayed, we called the hotel only to get an answering machine speaking in Spanish. We ended up taking a cab instead. It was uphill from there, literally and figuratively. Our check-in was seamless, our room was a bit small but comfortable.
