Thank you Sharon and Paul! We really enjoyed our 3 night stay with you. The guest house is in a great location - close to Snowdon for walking, Bangor for eating and Beaumaris and Penmon for sightseeing. We had a lovely view of the beach, bay and headland from our room the 'Lighthouse room'. The bed is extremely comfortable and the whole hotel is freshly renovated and very clean. We also had access to a lovely bathroom...

"My room was clean and spacious. There was a chair in the room in poor condition that needed to be removed and replaced but otherwise it was comfortable. There is an excellent gym and a small but good hotel pool. I didn't use the spa but there is one at the hotel. Parking is expensive at GBP12 overnight but this may be standard for Chester. Breakfast is a buffet, food was plentiful and hot. The staff members were welcoming and helpful throughout the hotel. "
"Excellent stay, central to everything. Room was spotless and staff could not do enough for you. Would not hesitate to stay here again. Lovely welcome card in the room. "
"The hotel is in a super location by Liverpool Lime Street Railway Station. The staff were warm, friendly, helpful & informative. All areas of the Hotel including our room were clean and tidy. The Self Service breakfast was tasty with lots of options for food and drinks. The hotel decor is unique, interesting and fascinating."
"Lovely modern decor.
Parking at the back - not well signposted
Room as described. It had been cleaned, but when we went to put our belongings in a draw, the previous persons clothing, underwear and dirty socks were still in the draw. Stain to the bedding. Use the phone to call reception- it’s was broken.
Went to reception, explained this, Daria on the desk was very apologetic, and swapped us rooms with no issues with an upgrade. She was very polite and professional.
Theses things happen.
Hotel is very clean, and a lovely atmosphere.
Opposite the train station, good location and a short walk to the shops and restaurants.
We will definitely stay again. "
"When we arrived on a Saturday late afternoon, it was like entering a nightclub. There was a wedding with an open DJ above the bar area. It was so loud you couldn’t easily hear the staff. When in our room, the music was booming through. We asked to move to another room and they were able to facilitate this. Staff were polite and helpful.
The room itself was good; a small but functional bathroom, very comfy bed and good blackout blinds. The window needed a lot of adjustment to close it which took a long time but eventually was shut. Nice to have windows that actually open though.
Breakfast was as expected. Quite a good range of food but juices were sub standard, more like a weak squash than a juice.
Overall, we slept fairly well and the room was fine but entering a hotel and feeling like you were in a club meant we didn’t want to have a drink at the bar or stay downstairs at all. This may have been a very different experience on a different day.

"The room was small but had everything we needed, it was clean and very warm. The staff were welcoming and helpful and check in was easy. Nice bar overlooking the prom and an excellent view of the pier. Food looked lovely although we did not eat there this time. Shops were very close, abundance of cafes and coffee shop within 2min walk. Second stay at the Marine Hotel will definitely be staying again"
