Deep Creek State Recreation Area

I love being able to see the various ages of eagles in Alaska. We generally only see the adults and the solid colored young ones in Indiana. When you are seeing 60+ birds a day, you get quite a variety.

This eagle was trying to trim his fillet so he could pick it up to fly.

We had an amazing day fishing the Cook Inlet in Alaska. In a very short time, we had all met our catch limit of halibut. If you are visiting the Kenai peninsula, you should give the fishing a try.

Don’t these fish have some beautiful red gills?

It’s all about the eagles on the beach at Deep Creek. We stopped counting at 65 around us. On the bluffs, in the trees, in the air and on the ground. A great place to spend a few days.
