"Very nice hotel but it would have been a better experience if there weren’t separate charges to use the gym, sauna, and parking. AC in room was great! No problems or issues with this hotel but somewhat pricy when you include the room, parking, and breakfast for 2."
Pension Beizama

"Great location if you are looking for an affordable and practical alternative to staying in central San Sebastián. Pensión Beizama is in a quiet area of Astigarraga, with a bus stop about a 3-min walk away. Buses run regularly into Donostia/San Sebastián, passing the main bus station and continuing into the city centre, with a stop by Hotel María Cristina. I travelled alone and felt very safe in the area. The pension is above a small local bar/restaurant, which was very convenient for a quick breakfast and served good tortillas. They also serve meals, although I didn't try them. Within about a 5-min walk there are other local restaurants and places for pintxos, as well as small market and a bakery. I actually enjoyed being in a more residential area and seeing a bit of local life rather than staying right in the tourist centre. My room was clean with a small balcony. It was compact but perfectly functional. The bathroom was also small, but the shower area itself was spacious. This is a very simple, no-frills accommodation, and the price reflects that. There are three flights of stairs and no lift, and there is no AC. This wasn't a problem at all during my stay in the second half of September, when the temperature was very comfortable. Check-in and check-out were both quick and straightforward. Juan is really friendly. Overall, a simple, clean and good-value place to stay, with very convenient public transport."

"Good price and room, didn’t really use facilities. Reception helped organise taxi to San Sebastián. Approx 25-30 euro journey each way to old town. Small cafe and pastry shop located nearby was nice"

"The room was clean and modern with air conditioning. The location was perfect- close to the old town without the late night noise. We don’t have the breakfast- at €19, it didn’t seem good value. There were welcome drinks and found the staff very helpful"
