I waited 2 hours and then walked up the road to find help. I found a man who made a phone call and said someone would be over shortly. I returned to the hotel and after 45 minutes a couple showed up. "We had a lovely night at the lodge. It was a family run hotel who made us feel so welcome. The bed was huge and comfortable, the family were on hand for absolutely anything. They even came running out with umbrellas as we headed out for a walk in the rain. The food was fresh and delicious. "The owner was fantastic and accommodating us… God is anything we need help this with their bags said hello and we ran across him in town… He was wonderful and very attentive. On our final day we went for a big tour in the morning and he left warm towels out for us by the pool to shower down there and change before leaving for another island. It was great it’s a little bit farther out of The central part of town but it was a dollar or two taxi ride and took minutes… Who’s a great day"

"We booked this hotel under the pretense that the resturant was open for business and the taxi price rate was similar to the rest of Ecuador or the reviews in our travel book. Hotel served a nice breakfast BUT no other food is available so one must go into Puerto Ayora for lunch and dinner. The taxi rate to and from hotel into town can be anywhere from $10-$15 each way..... if u want to freshen up after a long tour that will be 4 taxi rides......$40-$60 per day.
