This “hotel” is a run down extended stay with very unsavory looking people milling about. I pulled in the lot and right back out. I didn’t feel safe staying here. The photos look nice but are very misleading.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Location good. Bedsheet no clean. Asked for new one and extra set of towels. Never brought so we made due. Would not stay here again.
Astoria West is a very basic property. It is not fancy. But it was clean and everything was in working order. It is one of the lower priced properties in the Danville area. we were only staying one night so it suited our needs.
Everything I was expecting, a dump. Classic 50's motel, updated at some point and way past needing an update again. Pool filled with dirt, growing weeds. No maid service. Every night was doorbells in the steering wheel and loud talking outside my door or yelling across the parking lot. Bed was comfortable though.
Staff was nice but our key wouldnt wirk and we were locked out of the room twice. The worst part was the roaches very unpleasant. But for a last minute for one night we made it work.
They were to pushy about us leaving at check out time, the room we paid for was not what was showed on here. And both the br light didn't work nor did the fire alarm. And we had one towel and the room was filthy, the floors looked like they hadn't been swept or mopped in years
1 star — Left Within Minutes of Check-In
I want to preface this by saying the confusion about the property type may partly be on me — I was expecting a small hotel, not a motel. That said, even by motel standards, this experience was unacceptable from start to finish.
Before arrival: I called ahead to confirm my third-party booking, as I always do — and the staff could not locate my reservation. It took approximately three days and multiple follow-up calls from my end to resolve. That alone should have been a warning sign.
At check-in: Upon arrival, staff were visibly confused and asked me to pay again, despite my booking being fully prepaid. A simple issue, but telling of the disorganization at the property.
The room: This is where the visit ended. The room was in a genuinely poor state of cleanliness. Furniture was dusty, a chair was visibly broken and badly stained — I had no interest in sitting on it. The bathroom was the final straw: facial or body hair was left around the faucet area, making it clear the room had not been properly cleaned between guests.
We left immediately without staying the night. When we informed the front desk, the response was a just a okay, bye — no wondering on their part why I was already heading out despite just arriving.
I rarely leave reviews like this, but future guests deserve fair warning. I would not return and cannot recommend this property.
Worst property in Danville. First room had standing water on the floor. Second room smelled like an ash tray, dirty floors, beds looked half made. Did not stay booked another hotel.
When i had an issue with the outlet being Brocken not holding my phone plug in the wall they switched our room right away and they said that they would take care of the outlet. They were very respectable with everything that we needed help with.
