"Limited breakfast options"

"We stayed in a handicap accessible room and every time anyone took a shower the bathroom floor became a swimming pool. There was 1-2” of water covering the entire bathroom floor. It was extremely dangerous to walk on the slippery surface. The water would then leech into the room’s carpet causing a nasty mildew smell in the entire room. I spoke to two different staff members about it and how unsafe and unsanitary our room was and it was like speaking to a wall. Not so much as an apology for...

"Horrible staff who harasses my elephants and packed up their belongings and medical equipment due to their error. Kicked them out of their room when they incorrectly linked reservations in the system."

"Excellent hotel all around. The lobby and rooms are in great condition - it's surprising that the building is about to undergo renovations in late 2026! The front desk and breakfast staff were great. Location is very quiet and convenient. I would definitely stay here again."

"The room was clean and the woman at the front desk was very nice and helpful. Only thing I wasn’t a fan of was they turn your room cards off over an hour before you check out."

"Staff were helpful and friendly. My biggest disappointment was the lack of a mini fridge in the room. Most hotels of this caliber provide a mini fridge, and it would have been useful for beverages and snacks."

"I stayed 6 nights at the Holiday Inn in Howell Mi. Every staff member I had dealings with were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, helpful and professional. Breakfast was good and rooms were clean. July 15th - 21st."

"Nice quiet motel very near the interstate. Easy to find, and everyone was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and had a bathtub instead of only a shower!"

"Bathroom and bedroom was clean. Actual bathroom fixtures wear shining. Good supply of towels and toiletries also. Lots of shops nearby - Walmart and fine clothing stores - The Gap, Victoria Secret etc. Hotel located in Eastwood shopping area with wonderful restaurants in Eastwood shopping area along with other restaurants down the street on Lansing St. Blvd. There is also a bank close by."

"The room had dog fur on the couch. The bathtub had rust in it. We requested for a late checkout and were denied. This is not heard of for an hour extension. The breakfast was not manned and the food was over. The guests were kept waiting. Overall this hotel is ok, if you can avoid it would be better."

"Very clean room, super nice staff. The breakfast was top notch (try the lemon or churro flavored waffles, they were outstanding!) It’s a nice quiet hotel and I felt very comfortable there. When I visit my family in East Lansing, I will definitely be coming back to this hotel."

"Absolutely the “budget option” every time I’ve stayed here my room has been clean but the property is not well maintained outside and is very outdated so oddly doesn’t always feel that way if it makes sense. The staff have always been helpful! I HATE the pothole at the entrance to the parking lot. That needs to be fixed asap genuinely such a hazard."

"Conveniently located for visits to MSU. Very friendly and helpful staff good location close to the highway and restaurants. The building is a little dated and could use some maintenance but if you’re looking for a place to lay your head for the night, this is decent value."
