"We had an amazing time at the resort. Loved the location - close to Charleston, Sullivan Island and Folly Beach without the hassle of being in Charleston itself. Check in was personalized and efficient. The common areas were stunning and very Charleston! Our room was poolside with a balcony. Great bed, wonderful bathroom, fireplace in room, etc. - really wonderful! Really appreciated room service every day. The pools may have been my favorite - three to choose from and a tiki bar besides! We will definately stay here again."

"We liked being in downtown Charleston and the hotel’s historic charm. The rooms were nice and the hotel offered early check in early which was great. I did not like having a rooftop bar 1/2 block away. We were able to sleep, however you could still hear the music from the 6th floor. I also would have liked for the hotel to have a pool or outdoor area. Regardless, if you’re wanting to stay in the downtown area, it’s a great option, very central and close to restaurants, stores and bars."

"First time staying at this hotel and I must say, it was relaxing. Room was perfect, food was great, the Kickback at 5:30pm was amazing. Room was clean, beds was soft. Staff was accommodating and always friendly. Breakfast I could say could do with an upgrade, but otherwise it was great stay. I just hope it stays this way and don’t fade like other hotels"

Tides Folly Beach, Charleston's Oceanfront Hotel

"The hotel is oceanfront and steps from the beach, shops, bars and restaurants. The pool is great, Dylan the bartender, was amazing! Frozen drinks and pool atmosphere was wonderful. Food at the hotel was average, so many better options steps away. Room was clean but there was no ice in any machine, anywhere! Front desk check-in staff (didn't get her name) was so rude and unhelpful, but everyone else was delightful and the area is lively and friendly!"

"We really enjoyed our stay at The Ryder Hotel! The location is fantastic and perfect for exploring Charleston, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The amenities were also great and the overall atmosphere was fun and welcoming. That said, our room was very small, and being located directly next to the elevator made it a bit less comfortable than we would have liked. Overall, though, the great location, friendly service, and amenities made for a nice stay."
