Dagmar - Lakeridge hotel rooms a the Independent

"We have stayed here often. It is our favorite. This trip was exceptionally great as we travelled into Toronto for a few Dr appointments for ourselves and our elderly uncle. His afternoon appt got cancelled, and he would have had to sit in hot traffic and waiting rooms with us while we attended our own appts. I called the front desk in the morning to see if there was anyway we could have an early check in so we could get him lunch and settled for a nap while we went downtown to our apptments. The staff were very accommodating and understanding. We were able to check in early and he had a nice lunch and nap in our room instead of a hot afternoon in traffic."

"The location is near to the highways for easy transportation & shopping. However, the environment is also quiet. The thing you can argue is the fridge as the temperature is not cold enough to keep anything "cold". However, all fridges in hotels all have the same issue!"

"Property was new, clean and spacious. Shower had good pressure and bed and pillows were comfortable. No complaints about the hotel. Only downside was the surrounding area is a bit bare. Not too much selection unless you drive. Looks to be a developing area so perhaps more options and entertainment in the future!"

"Loved the suite and jacuzzi tub. Breakfast had some good options in the morning. Quiet, comfy bed; nice staff. All together it was a great stay. "

"We booked this hotel for our trip to Canada's Wonderland. We based that off the pictures and it looking clean. It did not disappoint.The hotel was very clean, the staff was super friendly and helpful. We especially liked the room we had, which had a fridge and a cooktop and a microwave. Was great with 2 kids and quick meals. I would definately stay here again and recommend this to anyone needing a place around Aurora. There is shopping nearby. "
