MHO Hotel Dover
2/10 Terrible
"Don't stay here. The room was dirty and didnt appear to have been cleaned bewteen the last guest's check out. The room smelled very strong like cigarette smoke and wet mildew. We booked a room that advertised queen beds, but the beds were full. The room didn't have towels and the frontndesk couldn't locate any when we requested them. We were in town for a NASCAR event and unfortunately didn't have any other hotel options to go to or we would have left 2 minutes after checking in. We went to target to spend $76 on buying our own towels, cleaning supplies, and room deodorizers to make the best of a situation we were stuck in. The room also didn't have a tv remote, apparently they get turned into the front desk when you check out. The outlets were broken or just holes in wall where an outlet used to be. Most lights didnt work or they didn't have bulbs in. Mounting hardware came out of toilet. I had an early check out Sunday morning so I asked the office guy the night before if was ok to check out around 6am. He said someone will be there since the office is open 24/7. Sunday morning trying to check out and the office door is locked. I called the office twice, no answer. I then knocked on the office door and a lady came out and began cussing at me in front of my 10 year old daughter saying didn't have time check people out cause people will need breakfast. To top off the entire stay, the hotel refused to honor the hotels.com room price for the room & upcharged by $60."
"Room had mold in it , alarm clock was broken , thermostat was hanging in the wall. Toilet barley flushed they allowed guests to party in parking lot all night long when phoned the front desk the phone was conveniently missing the buttons to call downstairs.
Vending machines didn’t work either floor
The bar between 4 PM and 10 o’clock is filled with local hooligans
Definitely was not happy with the stay not for $1800 for four nights.
Pool was closed
Never stay there again"
"Staff was friendly and breakfast was decent. Common areas of hotel were clean and nice looking however room was not very clean. There were stains on the bathroom shower curtain, bathroom door and bathroom walls that looked like food splashed on walls that were never cleaned."
"Expected more for the price. Hallway smelt like weed, bed didn’t have a fitted sheet, used a top sheet instead that wasn’t even tucked in underneath so shifted all night. Other than that it was a clean, decent sized room."
