My stay at Burn Cottage far exceeded my expectations. The location is so close to Cromwell yet rural, very peaceful and private in the most beautiful surroundings. Gill went above and beyond, it is clear every detail is thought of and the house keeping was just immaculate. I could live here! I travel to Cromwell quite often and this will definitely be my home away from home.

We were greeted with home baking on arrival at this beautiful cottage which was well received, located in an immaculate garden setting being very peaceful. Hosts are very helpful, we chose to have the continental breakfast which was delivered prior evening, home made Jams,Muesli, local fruits, breads croissant and hosts delicious yoghurt. Everything you could want for on a break away. Highly rate Burn Cottage.

3 night stay in paradise

The property is beautiful, many varied gardens to explore/ relax in. Gill and Noel provided many thoughtful touches to elevate the comfort of our stay, including home baking, walnuts from the property, daily cleaning service and even the offer to drive us to a local restaurant. The property is on a lifestyle block that has friendly sheep and great views of the sunrise/sunset from the hill through the gate. We highly recommend this accommodation.

このコテージの名前にもあるように「リトゥリート＝retreat（現実から離れた空間）で過ごす」といった意味が本当に相応しいくらい、のどかで落ち着いた別荘のように感じられる施設でした。もちろん、この施設を利用するにはレンタカーがないとこの場所には行けません。町はCromwelという地名のところにあり、クイーンズタウンとワナカ湖との間にある町です。大型スーパーは、NEW WORLD 1店とFRESH MARt 1店があります。ハイシーズンに行かれるなら夕方以降にこの大型スーパーに行ってもパンなどがほとんど売り切れている状況なので注意してください。オーナーのNoel &Gillさんがとても暖かく受け入れてくれます。絶対に宿泊すべきです。また泊まりたいと思っています。

The garden in which the cottages are set is beautiful. Cecilia is a wonderful host. She drove us to our dinner venue one night without us asking. When we were there an orphan lamb followed her everywhere she went. Burn Cottage was a lovely and relaxing place to stay. The space inside the cottages is welcome if you’ve been staying in hotel rooms.

Faultless hospitality!

Everything at Burn Cottage is exactly as described. It is five star luxury with every possible detail considered, from bathroom toiletries through to kitchen utensils. The bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in and the cottage was wonderfully peaceful. Thank you Cecilia and Darryl for letting us stay - please can we come back? 😉
