Top Croatian Islands Hotel Reviews

Aminess Liburna Hotel
8/10 Good
"The location is great with a view across the bay to the old town which is about 10 mins walk away. The pool is smallish and circular and doesn’t have a view but there are places to swim in the sea with great views right by the hotel. The staff are excellent and couldn’t have been more helpful. We booked a standard room and the details said it had a park view. In fact it had a view of the service road and maintenance building. The room itself was quiet and fairly compact but it was very contemporary and comfortable and had very good amenities including a kettle which was a bonus."

Palace Elisabeth Hvar Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Wow! Amazing and beautiful property. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Food was excellent. Room was lovely, we had a luxury upgrade with a balcony, great people watching. Truly a five star experience and worth every penny."

Hotel Sol
10/10 Excellent
"Gorgeous modern hotel with helpful staff and lovely rooms. The sea view was lovely as was the balcony. Really good location and a 25 min walk to the famous beach along a shaded promenade. Hotel is a 30 min drive from the main port in the North."

Waterman Svpetrvs Resort
4/10 Poor
"This was not an expensive apartment, so we did not expect 5 star, but this was not good value. On the positive side, the bed was comfortable, the apartment was clean, and there was easy access to the sea. However there was no access to the dining room balcony, as there was a massive sofa placed at the window. So no breakfast outside for me. There was a bedroom balcony, but I get up early, and my husband needs more sleep. We could not use the bedroom mirror as a large tv was placed in front. We asked for either the mirror or the tv to be moved . The receptionist said she would ask but 'was not sure this could be done'. Nothing was moved. The freezer compartment in the fridge had no door, so defrosting water dripped on to bottom of the fridge. Check in was perfunctory. The site is very large and we were not given any information about getting about . We had arrived on a public holiday, so we were told that the restaurant on site was closed, We were not told that restaurants next to hotel were all open. We were told that we would be taken to our room by buggy. However, a staff member arrived, took our large suitcase, and we had to follow on foot with other luggage. This took about ten minutes, as the chap was unsure of how to find our place. Towels had to be hired, there was a charge for the key for the room safe, and we could not buy bottled water at the hotel. Brac itself was wonderful. Even Watermans could not spoil that."

Marko Polo Maradiso Hotel by Aminess
6/10 Okay
"It’s a decent enough option but getting a little tired in places - I probably didn’t have the best room overlooking an overgrown yard around the back in a small self contained wing. Other rooms in the main building had better views My room was ok - the bed was nice enough and the a/c worked well, but the bathroom was getting a bit old and needed a refresh. It just felt a bit gloomy as there wasn’t much light from outside Breakfast and a surprise half board buffet were both adequate (actually the salad part of of evening buffet was particularly well stocked with options). Given the cost of eating out in this area it was welcome to keep the cost down. The dining room is a bit utilitarian though. Getting into town was easy and there was a great bar just down the hill. The best place for sea swimming was the public beach also towards town as there was no obvious sea swimming facilities run by the hotel which was disappointing given how beautiful the sea is here. The pool area was spacious though. Plenty of parking though which can be a drama otherwise"

Pharos Hvar Bayhill Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely modern hotel, very clean. Up a steep hill so advisable to get the little shuttle from the ferry if travelling with cases! Lovely staff, great facilities. Bath a bit tricky to get into so check if they have accessible bathrooms if you are at all compromised physically. Lovely food, reasonably priced and the best iced tea in town! Breakfast lovely."

Hotel Teranea
10/10 Excellent
"Nina and Branko were excellent hosts! The taxi service to and from the hotel was incredibly useful and super easy. Pedja is the best and very accommodating. Breakfast was more than we imagined as well!"

Podstine Hotel
4/10 Poor
"Location nice, but difficult to get to. The furthest hotel from the square. No one could be bothered to help us get our luggage up the stairs. Air conditioning did not work well, kept turning off. Felt like we were gaslighted, that it was working, we just don't know how air conditioning works. Not hot water for shower. Ants. Rooms extremely outdated. Not a 4 star hotel, like it's rated. The beach view and access was very nice and beautiful, but would probably spend a little more money to stay somewhere nicer next time."

Adriana Hvar Spa Hotel
8/10 Good
"Great hotel in a great position. Staff are more than helpful. The breakfast was excellent with a wide choice to cater for everybody. It’s the second time I see at this hotel and I love it if I had to say one thing as much as it is to have a harbour view room if you like fresh air in the night it is so noisy from all the bars and people walking around if you don’t mind your windows shut it’s not too bad however amazing hotel and I really recommend it."
