We stayed at The Pell while attending a wedding at Rosecliff, and it ended up being a great home base just outside Newport. The room was beautiful, spacious, and extremely clean, and the bathroom was especially great for getting ready for a wedding.
The entire property felt welcoming, parking was plentiful, and the staff across the board were genuinely kind and helpful. They all deserve a raise.
A special shoutout to Nicholas, who was exceptionally helpful from check-in onward. He seemed to have an answer for every question we had and gave us great recommendations for restaurants, things to do, and places to check out nearby. He even recommended a café that was so good I’m honestly tempted to gatekeep it.
Breakfast was excellent and the service was great. The living room/common area is spacious and was a really comfortable place to get some work done, and the pool area was relaxing with plenty of sun.
The only thing worth noting is that there are no elevators, so you’ll be taking the stairs. An elevator would be nice, but I suppose so is cardiovascular health.
Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would absolutely recommend The Pell to anyone visiting Newport."
