"The property owner was very unresponsive. It was missing a few important amenities, which we then purchased under our own cost. Although the owner promised that we will be reimbursed for the cost, no actual reimbursement was given. There were water leakage in multiple spot which the owner failed to provide any solutions on. The WiFi in the house was not functioning properly neither. There were rust on most metal items inside the bathroom, and it was very moldy. The unit sits right on the main...

"Casa Mexicana is my Cozumel "home"! We know most of the staff by name as we've stayed year for decades! I've had special birthday surprises in my room and I say the best hand-shaken, fresh margaritas at the pool bar!! Can't wait to see them all again in a couple months!"
"This is our third year going to the Melia. The rooms are very accommodating. Shampoo, conditioner, and body washes provided. The staff are beyond wonderful. They greet you and always make sure you have what you need. There’s plenty of food nicely displayed in the main restaurant and the other two places service is amazing. The guys at the bar are always fun and make sure that whatever drink you want they can make it. Pool areas is always kept spotless. There’s some sort of entertainment nightly and although I don’t have kids, they have a kid activity room and space available for them to have fun outdoors as well. (playground, croquet, badminton, etc..). The Melia has now become our annual trip."
Secrets Aura Cozumel - Adults Only - All Inclusive
4/10 Poor
"There were 4 rooms for us on the trip. One party had to change rooms twice and another twice due to a/c outages, leaking a/c and bugs. Staff moved us in the middle of the night, with no directions. Management was nearly impossible to speak with, causing us to miss majority of a day because we were told to just wait and keep checking for them to come back. If you're not in a couple, staff ignores you and excludes you from your party. Repeatedly asking the group to go do things leaving the single person behind."
"Hotel needs maintenance by the pool area. A lot of ties missing and pavers were replaced by cement patches. Pretty weak I thought. Stair areas were very dirty.
Food wasn’t bad. Rooms were clean and so were the bathrooms."
"Mixed experience. The resort was clean, the snorkeling was excellent, and many staff members were friendly.
Unfortunately, service was inconsistent throughout our stay. The elevator was out of service twice while we were on the 7th floor, beach towels were frequently unavailable, room service often required multiple follow-ups, and beach service was minimal. The resort was generally clean, but the Bali beds were often left wet and dirty after rain or untidy after previous guests, and we occasionally had to clean them ourselves before using them. We were also asked twice whether we were celebrating a special occasion, shared that we were there for our birthdays, and nothing was ever acknowledged afterward. The vegetarian food was surprisingly poor, with one Mexican dinner consisting of roughly a quarter head of cauliflower with mole sauce (and nothing else).
After returning home, I attempted to contact management regarding these concerns, but the hotel refused to provide an email address for management or customer service and instead directed me to call the property from abroad.
We chose an all-inclusive resort expecting relaxation and convenience. While we don't expect perfection at all, we do expect the basics. These basic services required more effort than they should have. The refusal to provide any management or customer service email after our stay only reinforced that impression and reflected poorly on the resort's commitment to guest service."
