Not your average hotel, the historic accommodations are clean, comfortable and the only place I've stayed with a river right outside my bedroom window, just the right amount of white noise to lull me to sleep. Went for a couple of hikes as the weather was sunny and beautiful. Enjoyed the waterfalls, exploring the burial ground and the surrounding areas. "a very good value for money option for those wanting to stay near glasgow. Reasonable commute by car to the city (1/2 hour or so) - suggest you go the more Country route. Local area isn’t significant, so suggest you eat in the city. Our large room got a lovely sunset, whilst sitting on a large raised couch. Quiet. (though the birds can get noisy for a bit - nothing the property can do about that though). Sheep in the garden ! Recommended."
