Top Coronado Island Hotel Reviews

Wyndham San Diego Bayside
8/10 Good
"Honestly I was expecting much, much worse based on the reviews I had seen of this hotel so I was pleasantly surprised by most of the staff and the quality of the room. We were given our daily coffee vouchers, we had the same woman every morning and she was absolutely wonderful but I did not catch her name. We did have a cat with us, which I was a little worried about as the hotel policy says "pets" but when I called to confirm our details I was told "dogs" and that the dog could not be left in the room unattended (I believe the actual policy is they must be in a carrier/crate if no one else is in the room, which makes sense for safety). My only issue is the parking. I had calculated how much it would be for our stay, no biggie it was $50/night so a total of $250. However the day of our check out, I hear the gentleman tell a woman checking in it was $20/night, meaning I was charged over double that amount. When we tried asking for more details or an explanation, we were given the email to a manager named "Alejandra" who still has not replied almost a month later. And "Alejandra" was not the manager present when we were checking out. So overall, I liked the hotel, did not appreciate the price discrepancy when it came to parking and definitely did not appreciate the lack of a response so overall I liked my stay but I would not return."

The Sofia Hotel
8/10 Good
"We enjoyed our overnight at the Sofia. We arrived around 2pm and were able to get our room right away. The room was a bit small, but was stylish and comfortable. We were too early to try out the dinner menu at the restaurant Truvo (Mediterranean style) unfortunately, but had a lovely breakfast there the following day. Guests get a discount. The front desk staff member was also able to give us an additional hour at check out when we asked. The venue was centrally located and very walkable to places and events. We went to a baseball game (Padres won!) and visited the Navy Seal Museum which is very good and more interactive than we anticipated. We will go again and bring the grandchildren. Our only chagrin was that the air conditioning was louder than we’d have liked and blew onto the bed. I would advise wearing an eye mask so that it doesn’t blow onto the eyes."

Best Western Inn & Suites San Diego – Zoo/SeaWorld Area
10/10 Excellent
"Conveniently located off a near by freeway so easy to get to and back out onto the road. Nice pool area to chill in. Handy laundry facilities that take card payments. Breakfast was a buffet and DIY waffles which was fun. Overall lovely all round stop over for us"

The Dana on Mission Bay
10/10 Excellent
"This is our second trip in which we have stayed at The Dana! We really enjoy it! Great restaurant with firepit tables, food is wonderful. Location is perfect to the beach and access to the freeway. We have booked the jr suite with a bay view, and this past trip was the marina view. We will definately be back!"

Loews Coronado Bay Resort
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful time, and experience. We both said we definitely will be back and would also love to visit their resorts in other locations! We had our 3 kids ranging from ages 1-15yrs old and it was perfect for everyone. The only thing, is we stayed for 6 days and there’s no microwave in the room we were in. That would've been nice for a leftover or two on the days we planned to enjoy the resort and didn’t leave! Besides that, it was great and we absolutely loved our stay."

Bay Club Hotel & Marina
