"Ended my 12 hour, one day drive.
Good front desk reception.
Checked into room.
Stopped in the room but did bring in belongings.
Toilet was unused.
Left at 3:45 returned at 9:45.
Walked into bathroom and someone had left a large deposit in the toilet!!!!
Someone had a key and entered my room!
I immediately went to front desk. They checked the footage and said no one entered my room.
No apology from them.
Offered me another room. Said I don’t feel safe at Motel 6 and will not be staying now or ever again.
I asked for and received a refund.
Now I had to find a room at 10 pm during graduation week! I was exhausted after a very long day. And I had to pay top price.
Never once did I raise my voice or speak disrespectfully to Motel 6 staff.
I asked that the GM, Raquel Saavedra call me.
Not hearing from her the next day I went to the motel at 11:30. They said they weren’t sure if she was in but saw her office door closed and said she was in a meeting. Said Ms. Saavedra would call me later that day. It’s been a week and no word from Ms. Saavedra.
It’s easy to show up when things are going well but to hide from your customers when things go sideways is inexcusable, immature and highly unprofessional.
This is my 2nd negative experience at two different Motel 6 and friends had a negative experience at a different Motel 6 three weeks ago.
As a female who frequently travels alone I won’t make the mistake of booking with Motel 6 ever again.
Tell Tom Bodette he can turn the light off."
"Room was very quiet and comfortable. Pool area and hot tub area very relaxing like a little oasis. Getting to the hotel a little drive off of main CA 108 . Definitely a mountain hideaway hidden down winding roads. We arrived a little later than we wanted and had to scramble back to Sonora to get food cause most things closed at 8 pm. Definitely a neat little place but eat before you get there or get there early"
Best Western Plus Sonora Oaks Hotel & Conference Center
8/10 Good
"The room was a good size, with 2 queen beds and fairly comfortable. The bathroom was a good size also. We had a patio door leading out to a grassy area with table and chairs, very good for our dog. It was a little noisy when the pool was being used, but it wasn’t too bad. Everyone was very nice. Breakfast was a little different the 2 days we stayed. We will stay there again!"
"Room was very clean. The staff was accommodating and efficient. Breakfast was nothing special. The coffee wasn’t hot and not a lot of choices were available. Parking could be improved upon. If all of rooms were in use, it would have been insufficient. We take a white noise machine everywhere therefore we weren’t bothered by noise. Overall, we will probably be back. It was convenient to downtown. "
