The Black Dolphin Motel

10/10 Excellent

"One night away with myself and daughter for a beach trip. We did not liaise with any staff so could not really rate that appropriately. The room was perfect for what we needed it for. It was clean, great location, easy parking and seamless check-in. The business spans over two large properties. We were opposite the holiday park. There was a pool available on our side, and a small water park area with slides and sprinklers available in the holiday park side. I am unsure if you are able to utilise this if you're not staying on the holiday park side. Worth checking if you are travelling with kids. The property itself was really well maintained. Gardens, walkways, amenities. We come to Merimbula from Canberra often, and have tried out quite a few of the hotels. Some hits, a few big misses, but this one was a hit. Will definitely stay again. As my daughter put it "This is our new spot we can come to every time!""

Everything—absolutely everything—is clean and well-thought-out; there’s space for our luggage, and plenty of room in the bathroom for our personal items. The pool is spotlessly clean. Wow."

"Nice hotel, convenient location no significant road noise. The town is a 2 min walk unfortunately on a Sat night the Pub stopped serving food at 8pm, the Indian stopped at 8:30, the Pizza Shop shut at 8:00 ......... Un realistic for. Sat Night at the end of school holiday season..... apparently our money was not good enough, the only option we have was Indian "TAKEAWAY:" no dine in because they wanted to close..... (Food was generous and good) but we would have liked to sit and eat at the restuarnt....."

"We weren't really sure what to expect when we booked Summerhill Motor Inn, given it was one the older looking venues in Merimbula. I can definitely say we were more than happy with our booking. The Inn was spotless!! Our room was immaculately clean, the bed was great and the pillows just fantastic. So much so we asked the owner where can we buy them!! Absolute value for money!!"
