"I was extremely disappointed with my stay. The hotel charged me a “reservation recovery fee” for each night, which was never disclosed at the time of booking. I booked through Expedia under the clear understanding that the total price included all taxes and fees, as explicitly stated in the listing.
To make matters worse, the hotel did not provide any receipt or mention these additional charges at check-in. The front desk attendant specifically told me my card was only being held for incidentals, there was no mention of any extra fees. It wasn’t until I noticed the charges later and called back that they provided a questionable receipt attempting to justify them.
Expedia has also been unhelpful in resolving this issue or explaining why these undisclosed charges were allowed in the first place.
On top of the billing concerns, my room was never cleaned during my entire stay, which is completely unacceptable.
Overall, this experience felt deceptive and unprofessional. I would strongly caution others to double check charges and consider alternative accommodations."
