" breakfast was ok, it work for us and our busy schedule on Saturday. Staff was excellent and facilities were very clean. could have had an ice bucket. the location was great for us because we visited the western half of the covered bridge tour. Side note hats off to Ashtabula county the 19 covered bridges, they are in wonderful shape it shows you are proud of them. Our stay at Windgate then made it easy to travel to Trumble, and Mahoning counties to visit other covered bridges"

"Breakfast and breakfast crew were amazing. On the hotel:The staff were helpful and the rooms were generally clean but just a bit run down. For example:Someone had ripped the shampoo bottle out of the shower and it wasn't replaced. Would stay there again because it was a good value for what it was. "

"Everything was clean. Hot tub was broken. No sheets or blanket for pull out sofa. Couldn’t get in gym. Breakfast was so so. "

"We did not have a hot tub. However the tub in our room was clean and my littles loved taking a bath."

"We had an overnight stay at the Red Roof Ashtubula-Austinburg. I had reserved 3 rooms and 2 out of the 3 were not cleaned properly toilet was dirty, nasty comforter, sheets, and mattress pad (I have had this happen at big chain hotels as well). The front desk guy was nice and looked at the rooms and moved them with no issue. Some went out and bought their own sheets after that. We definitely bought our own washclothes and some bought towels. I travel with bleach wipes and I will say for a motel my room was pretty clean except the light switches. We did not utilze the bar. Couldn't even tell you if it was open. For a quick overnight stay it would suffice just make sure to check the comforters and sheets."
