Courtyard by Marriott Columbia Downtown at USC

Courtyard by Marriott Columbia Downtown at USC

8/10 Good
"The main areas such as the lobby were updated and super clean. The hallways going off the elevator on the guest room floors were clean, but could use a bit of updating (new carpeting) as could the guest rooms themselves. They were clean, but the carpeting made it seem a bit dingy. I am NOT a fan of carpet in rental spaces. The shower had good pressure and hot water almost immediately. Be aware that parking is $10/day and the garage has a height limit of 72". We saw a 2 door Jeep that had to turn around. We didn't fit either. They did have some parking for the folks who didn't fit, but it didn't seem like there was a ton of spaces. Not sure what happens when they are all full. They have a shuttle to drive you anywhere within a 3 mile radius and offer a hot breakfast $. Our room had a great view of the dome with floor to ceiling windows. We had a fridge, microwave and coffee maker (single). It's a NO PET hotel, so that was a plus. The area is very busy during the day as it's located on campus. Walking distance to the Colonial Life Arena, which is why we chose it. The staff was great, all being friendly and personable. 9/10 Bartender was great!!!! She went over the top to be engaging. I didn't catch her name, but she had long braids."
