Colorado Western Slope hotel rooms a the Benchmark

"Our toilet was leaking on the floor from the base and looked like it had been for awhile. Yummy. The pillows were about the smallest I have seen lol. Think square decorative type. Bed is firm if that's your thing. AC is dated and loud but thankful we had it. Room service was good. Breakfast was ok. Coffee shop was meh. We had to ask for more towels and toilet paper. Room was clean-ish if you didnt look too close. The staff was incredibly nice and the hotel itself is pretty cool. Definitely check out the fire stairs if you stay. Its a perfect location for walking to the shops and hotsprings. We didnt pay for parking because we parked on the street. I do think its silly to charge your guests parking after they pay to stay in the hotel and mostly likely eat and drink there too. I probably wouldn't make this my first pick if I came back but if it was all I could get, it would be ok."

"We booked our room a long time ago. By the time we made the trip, my wife was in a wheelchair. The hotel is not very suitable for handicapped people. "

"Great breakfast, (not included) and lovely location. Staff were very nice. But a bit surprised there was a parking fee in a smallish town like Durango. Internet worked after I got a promo-code. But not before. If it doesn't work go to the front desk and they'll give a code. But overall liked it."
