"The location is unique and the hotel is a refined and updated classic. I've been coming here for about 25 years off and on and still love this hotel. My only disappointment this last visit is that I asked for a room with a view. Since it's summer and I was on a lower floor, the only "view" was of the trees across the street. If a great view is important to you, perhaps make the reservations in person, not online. "

"This is an excellent hotel. The toilet in our first room had a faulty flush, and the desk changed us seamlessly to a room a few doors down. Then I had an embarrassing emergency -- an otherwise unnoticed rash on my skin opened up and bled a little on the bedding. The desk sent up a complete change of linen with kindness and sympathy. I wish I had the name of that excellent desk clerk, who genuinely cared (she was on duty on the morning of July 10). The breakfast is FAB (eggs and sausage, plus other stuff), and is operated by a sweet, thoughtful person named Dee. We even met a few dogs! La Quintas are pet-friendly. We really appreciated our stay here. Thank you."

"We stay in the Berkley when visiting Richmond. The hotel is pleasant and has a charm about it. Very good location for dining and seeing the sites. The hotel is going through an upgrade which is due as the carpeting in our room needed changing. We will continue to visit this establishment as it works for us. "
