"It was difficult to find the property, the security guards at the entrance to the building it is in had not heard of Skyline and when we showed them the map to explain it was where we were, they were confused! Eventually we rang the owner who spoke to reception and realised it was there, they hadn’t heard of the company name! A half hour panic ended and we then enjoyed our stay!"

Fort

Fort combines modern business energy with Sri Lanka's colonial past in the heart of Colombo. The skyline features glass towers alongside historic landmarks like the Dutch Hospital Shopping Precinct and Old Parliament Building. This district houses the stock exchange, major corporations, and transportation links through Fort Railway Station. Walk through centuries of Portuguese, Dutch, and British influence while exploring architectural treasures. Visit the President's House or stop at Pettah Market for local goods. The neighborhood offers convenient access to other parts of the city with excellent transportation options.

Bambalapitiya

Bambalapitiya blends Sri Lanka's cultural diversity into a vibrant coastal neighborhood. Hindu temples stand beside mosques while colonial buildings mix with modern high-rises along tree-lined streets. The bustling Majestic City shopping complex anchors the area with local shops lining Galle Road. Explore this authentic slice of Colombo where Tamil, Sinhalese, Muslim and Burgher communities thrive together. Morning temple bells mix with calls to prayer as local tea shops serve alongside restaurants offering dosas and biryani. Frequent buses make getting around easy while residential pockets remain peacefully removed from Galle Road's energy.

Cinnamon Gardens

Cinnamon Gardens offers a refined Colombo experience where colonial elegance meets lush tropical beauty. Majestic rain trees shade the sprawling Viharamahadevi Park, while stately mansions and embassies line the prestigious avenues. The white-domed Independence Memorial Hall and red-brick National Museum showcase the area's rich heritage. This upscale neighborhood appeals to history lovers and those seeking a peaceful retreat. Elegant hotels and fine dining establishments provide sophisticated comfort. Visitors appreciate the walkable streets and cultural attractions like the Nelum Pokuna Theatre and National Art Gallery.

Golden sands stretch along the Indian Ocean shoreline. Vibrant Hindu temples with colorful gopurams stand near bustling markets filled with textiles and spices. Marine Drive provides perfect coastal walks with palm trees and ocean breezes. Visitors can sample authentic Tamil cuisine from street vendors and family restaurants. The neighborhood maintains its genuine character with minimal tourist development, making it ideal for travelers seeking cultural immersion away from crowds.

Kollupitiya

Kollupitiya blends business sophistication with ocean views in this upscale Colombo district. The gleaming Stock Exchange towers over luxury hotels and premium shopping malls like Liberty Plaza and Crescat Boulevard. Enjoy international cuisine at high-end restaurants or stroll along the Indian Ocean promenade at sunset. The Kingsbury Colombo

The Kingsbury Colombo

8/10 Good
"The hotel room we stayed in was on the 5th floor, overall it was fairly clean, but the carpet was fairly dirty, definitely needs a good clean or changing. Did have issues with the tv picture freezing 3 of 4 nights we stayed, mentioned it to reception the first two nights, they sent the maintenance man around who had a look at the pictures and said it’s was the WiFi drop outs and couldn’t do anything, and left, Breakfast was average, nothing outstanding, even though a good choice of western and Asian dishes to choose from. On the last night we requested an Asian vegetarian breakfast pack to take away and help with the luggage to be brought down for 6am as we were checking out at 6am and we would be leaving by 6:05-610 via taxi, But when we arrived at the reception desk 5:50 to check out and enquired about the luggage and breakfast, we got blank looks, So when reminded what was arranged the night before and they found the paperwork confirming the request, the acted on the requests, By 6:15 we finally received the luggage and the breakfast packs which annoyed the taxi driver who was waiting since 6:00, When we finally settled down at the airport to have the breakfast, we were deeply disappointed that we got a small cheese sandwich, pastry, water and banana definitely not Asian vegetarians, considering what we paid for full breakfast, it was deeply disappointing."

Marino Beach Colombo

Marino Beach Colombo

10/10 Excellent
"We ended 12 days in Sri Lanka here and it was easily the best-equipped hotel of the whole trip. The 53-metre rooftop infinity pool on the tenth floor is the standout: ocean on one side, city skyline on the other, and spectacular sunsets over the sea. Come up in the late afternoon. The room was excellent — very comfortable king bed, a bathroom with both shower and bathtub, and a huge TV. Everything felt new and well maintained, and despite the city-centre setting on Marine Drive, noise was not a problem. Several restaurants and bars on site meant plenty of choice without leaving the building, and the food was good across the board. Very good value too for this standard of hotel. A perfect last stop before flying home, and it would work just as well at the start of a trip."
