CityClass Hotel Alter Markt
10/10 Excellent
"Walking distance to the Cologne Cathedral, the river, bridges especially the train station. There was a miscommunication with the 20% breakfast discount so clarify first before you dine in. If you are a light sleeper like me bring a handheld fan to support the AC, was not cold enough to cool the room. I can’t sleep with windows open. The rolling blinds is the winner, love it, total darkness."
Hyatt Regency Cologne

Novotel Köln City
8/10 Good
"This was a lovely stay and met all our needs as a family of 4. Splitting the sofa bed to have the beds apart a bit would've worked a bit better for us but that's a personal thing. The main bed was really comfy! Water pressure was crap so that needs addressed however I do think they are maybe just being more cautious with water use given the heat waves! So that's ok. It's not a bad location at all. Rooms really quiet. We used the bar area and the possibility to buy a few drinks/snacks from the fridges across from the reception was great. I'd recommend the hotel to friends"
AMERON Köln Hotel Regent
8/10 Good
"The hotel was very clean, staff helpful. There is parking, but I didn’t need it as there is a tram link into the city & uber also comes to the hotel. If you need your room cleaned during your stay you do have to ask for this."
Excelsior Hotel Ernst am Dom

"Dan the concierge was extremely helpful"
a&o Köln Neumarkt
8/10 Good
"Everything was fine except one important item - the windows and the heat. The windows were locked so they could only tilt in and not fully open (It stated this as a safety feature). As a result, our room got very warm and was almost impossible to sleep at night. However, from the terrace, I noticed on the last day that some windows did swing fully open. Not sure why or how they did open such a way, but if it was much hotter in the area, the rooms would be impossible to sleep in. Otherwise, the location, staff, amenities and other guests were superb!"
