"This is a working winery and while the apartments are somewhat rustic and without air conditioning they provided much of the charm and experience that we were looking for during our stay in Tuscany. "I really wouldn’t recommend this hotel ! While the nature and property were stunning and the villas were generously sized the cleanliness and staff helpfulness was very poor .there were very large bugs in the shower and tons of dust below the beds and one of our beds was not made at all .we only received one tiny bar of hand soap for a 3 bedroom ,6 ppl villa and when we ask for toiletries and extra toilet paper we received only 2 sets of shampoo and shower gel as a one time courtesy , any more...

"What a beautiful place! It’s a wonderful place to take the kids to just be kids and have fun. Our kids took riding lessons and a cooking course, both wonderful. We were too early to enjoy the pool, but that would have been a highlight too if open. We didn’t rent car for this trip, we wanted to force ourselves to just relax, but one would have been needed to explore more or a longer stay. The restaurant was perfect on-site - but make sure to book reservations daily, it gets busy at dinner! "

"Wunderschönes Hotel im alten Kohlebergwerk. Etwas abgeschieden, dafür aber die totale Ruhe. Wir haben super geschlafen! Das Abendessen kann man im Freien geniessen, gute Auswahl und lecker gekocht. Unbedingt jeweils am Morgen reservieren! Einziger Negativpunkt: Das Personal ist beim Frühstück überfordert, da man als Gast nichts selber schöpfen darf. So entstehen Wartezeiten. "
