"The staff is exceedingly friendly and engaged. The included breakfast was amazing and above and beyond a traditional hotel breakfast. The concept of having individual “hides” or pods was fun and creative. Locationally, the hotel was a great base for sightseeing on Skye. We didn’t want to leave. We highly recommend this hotel."

"The Marmalade Hotel is in a nice location that’s just a short walk (about 1/2 mile) from the center of Portree and harbor. The property is a nice mix of an older renovated traditional structure (which houses the hotel lobby, guest lounge, and restaurant) and a new modern structure where the guest rooms are located. The property as a whole has a clean, contemporary feel and is well cared for. The rooms are clean, contemporary and modest with nice amenities. I would stay here again when I return to Portree."

"If you like a breathtaking views every morning noon and night you should probably stay here. So clean and great communication with the hosts. *please keep in mind this place is in the country, it’s easy to get to but you would have to drive to go to any pubs or restaurants etc."

"The cabin was clean, modern yet cozy and off the beaten path from the crowds in Portree. The kitchen was excellent if you wanted to cook on holiday. The only draw back was the small fridge that didn't seem to cool very well. The host was very responsive to our requests during our visit. I wanted a secluded stay for our time on Skye that was easy to get around to all the popular destinations. I would definitely stay here again."
