"The property was clean and the staff were so nice and accommodating. I LOVE that the 24hr pool/hot tub. The breakfast buffet was good, had the staples and was quick and easy-coffee was good. The overall price is wildly high for a La Quinta-quality/location/amenities do not meet price but I am assuming it is due to the touristy town, which is beautiful. We did have an uncomfortable situation happen in the pool area in the evening. A guest that was (likely) intoxicated was pacing the halls and he kept coming in and out of the pool area and more or less trying to pick a fight - rude, accusing us of saying things we weren’t, and posturing at myself and two friends while we were enjoying the hot tub. He wasn’t intending on using the pool facilities as he had jeans, sweatshirt, boots and a splinted finger, but he would still continue to come back in every 20-30 min to try to be confrontational with us. We tried to be nice and disengage but he just continued to come back with each encounter getting more aggressive (possibly more intoxicated). It ultimately got to the point we no longer felt safe or comfortable and chose to go to our room. On the way to our room we passed the front desk staff and let her know what happened, I was very surprised when she ‘nicely’ dismissed our report/concerns and said “He was a really nice guy that had fallen on some hard times”, which I was not sure why that would be relevant in this situation. Safety should be a top concern for staff and it wasn’t."

"I’m so impressed with the staff at the Liberty Lake Best Western. I broke my ankle and have been using a wheelchair during our trip for Hoopfest. I originally tried to keep the same room for both nights, but they were sold out, so we had to switch rooms the next day. Housekeeping went above and beyond by helping move our luggage and quickly bringing extra pillows and blankets so I could stay comfortable and keep my foot elevated while the boys played basketball. The hot breakfast and yogurt machine were also a big bonus and made mornings so easy and enjoyable. Later, when I asked about a late checkout because the boys were doing so well, they were accommodating again and honored it due to my rewards status. The kindness didn’t stop there. I accidentally left my wheelchair behind when I dropped the boys off at Hoopfest, and Nathan personally brought it out to me so I wouldn’t have to move on my injured leg. I truly felt cared for the entire stay. The staff made everything smooth and stress-free, and their extra effort made a big difference for both me and the team."
