"For the price we paid for this stay we were extremely disappointed. From the moment we pulled in the driveway it was quite clear we had been misled by the online information. The building it’s very run down. The bed was hard and very uncomfortable, the ceiling and walls were very discoloured and patchy with posters thumb tacked to the walls. The toilet was not bolted down properly and leaked on the floor. The location is not near any amenities and dispite what the website says, there is not one vending machine. The beach is very close so that was a bonus. As for staff, it’s impossible to rate someone that we never saw. We stayed 2 nights and didn’t meet an employee. Had this place been half as expensive, we may have felt a bit differently, but still, would be pushing it. We would not recommend."

"Great experience overall. Staff was super nice, accommodating, and helpful. Pool was awesome and warm. Beach super close. Shopping extremely close. Free beach rentals like chairs, umbrella, boo go e board, etc. Nice room with kitchenette in some. Mattresses might be due for an update as they are pretty pillowy. Overall awesome experience. "

"There was no beach view from our room but it didn't matter cuz the beach was steps away. The place was lovely and calm and peaceful and really friendly. I could have used a cookie tray to cook in the oven lol but that was it"

"The room was clean and spacious. Unfortunately, The neighbors could be heard thru the connecting door. The beach access is ideal. The breakfast was nice. Excellent staffed "

"Came down for spring break as a solo mom with two kids ages 9 and 7. We originally booked the Beachside Hotel and upon checking we immediately checked out and got a last minute room at Westgate for 4 nights. The front desk crew was super welcoming to us (thanks Ro and Amy) and when we got to our super clean suite with big comfy beds we were so relieved! The next day the resort looked even better in the daylight. The beach spot is fantastic, you can rent chairs and umbrellas and boogie boards each day (but get there not too long after 9am they do sell out). My kids spent hours boogie boarding at the beach and it was never too crowded. We would bop back over to Westgate’s pool, lazy river, and splash pad and have lunch from the tiki bar (hi Mikayla!! Our awesome server all week). My only suggestions are that they provide more toiletries (body lotion and bigger or more bottles of shampoo & conditioner). I also had to call and press to get the room cleaned on day 2, that was a little unclear (housekeeping). They did provide plenty of fresh clean towels for bathrooms and pool when we would call down they would quickly come up and switch them out. I was bummed we couldn’t get a room with a view, the room we got faced the busy road, however, with the bathrooms tucked in the back of the room it was super quiet. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the resort - both the rooms and common spaces and the pool and water play areas. We felt very safe and taken care of! "
